September Owl Creek Gazette

Check out the September Owl Creek Gazette and you will find this blog featured in it. You will also find a nice blueprint for a "Simple Pine Bookshelf". I plan on making one of these for my outdoor shed to hold my heavier gardening supplies in the Spring.

  1. We were pleased to have featured your blog in our September issue of the Owl Creek Gazette and happy to see you have included information about our publication here! Also glad to see you are planning to make Elza Hickoryshack's Pine Bookshelf. We love that Elza often shares his word working projects on the pages of the Owl Creek Gazette.

Also wanted to mention that we are having our 1st Year Anniversary and Open House this weekend at our office (208 South Second Street in downtown Greenville, IL) and would like to invite you and your blog's readers to join us for the festivities. In addition to having samples of our long term freeze-dried foods, "Take and Make" crafts for kids, and storewide discounts, we've also got an outstanding line-up of activities which I'm including below.

    Here's the schedule:

    Friday, September 28th:

11:00am - Don Stover, OCG co-editor, will be demonstrating the how-tos of basic lamp wiring.

2:30-5:30pm: Our "Beekeeper's Corner" columnist, Tim Lindley, will be answering questions on beekeeping.

6-8pm: Swamp Weiss, Craig "Boze" Baumberger and Bob Johnson will be joining us for some down home bluegrass pickin' and singin'.

6:30-7:30: Our "Sunshine and Bugs" columnist, Roxanne Bare, will be demonstrating the practice of processing dried herbs.

    Saturday, September 29th:

9:00am-noon - Roxanne Bare will be on hand with her traveling Terra Mater Botanical shop.

1:00-2:00pm -- Book signing with Janice Baldwin, local author of the popular book, "Pleasant Mound/Fairview: Glimpses and Memories of a Little Farm Town that Flourished",

2:00-3:00pm -- Elizabeth Gombos, of Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage fame, will be speaking on her experiences as a summer intern at the ecovillage in Missouri (the presentation will also include a short Q and A session).

Plus ... folks attending the Open House will receive a FREE Owl Creek Gazette bumper sticker (one free bumper sticker per family while supplies last).

Again our thanks ... and hope you can join us this weekend!
